I stayed two nights at this charming old gastro-pub. All staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. A cooked breakfast was included in the room rate. The views from the restaurant are lovely. I couldn't fault my clean, tidy room, except perhaps for the absence of a hanging space. However, the chest of drawers was ample. I highly recommend the inn for a laid-back relaxing stay!

Stayed in Poppy room, which is one of the chalets. This was a lively room with amazing views out across the Devon countryside. The room was very well equipped, with a lovely very comfortable double bed. The room was lovely and clean and so peaceful. We will definitely return. We had an evening meal there with my husband ordering from the gluten free menu. The food was nice and the service was excellent.

North Molton. Lovely little place. Friendly welcome and chat at the bar. Ordered some lunch and Coffees. Nice garden out back where you can see the guest lodges. Large dining room upstairs, but no dogs allowed up there. We had our dog out in the garden whilst eating lunch. Quiet location and some decent views of the North Devon countryside. Food and coffee were lovely. Thanks to The Poltimore for a good lunchtime experience, as most pubs in the area are shut on Monday during the day. I will come back whenever I'm in the area again.

Such an amazing place to stay. The lodges are fantastic. I was there for work an overslept every morning because it was so peaceful and the beds some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Because I slept so well I unfortunately missed the breakfast everyday which looked fantastic. I really, really want to return there for a holiday when not working. The area is beautiful, hardly any traffic, dark, dark skies at night for star gazing, fantastic village shop. Just a great experience all round. Bathroom was great with a good shower and lovely towels with plenty of nice toiletries. I won't go on but please try this place as I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

During our short break in North Devon, we arrived there on Sunday just before 3pm to have Sunday lunch. Even the restaurant was finishing serving food we got really nice lunch. The service was professional and food is amazing. Also the view from restaurant table is breathtaking. Plenty of free parking around.

Fantastic food, great portions, beautiful views from the restaurant and most importantly for our visit, totally accessible for a wheelchair user. Staff really attentive, and customer service is 5 star. So good we've already visited twice for our weeks holiday and have already booked for our last night. Thank you to everyone there for making us so welcome.

Fabulous carvery at this friendly and comfortable pub. The meat was delicious, all of the vegetables were really fresh - and there was plenty of choice. The views across Exmoor from the dining room are stunning. Really good value. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely few days at the Poltimore Inn with its amazing views of the beautiful, peaceful countryside and the delicious homemade food on the menu every day. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we plan to return for another stay
